Two of the four Door Co. counts, Sturgeon bay on 12-19 and Brussels (southern Door) on 12-20 were completed. The Sturgeon Bay count is up to 55 species with a female KING EIDER being the best find. Other nice finds are 300+ cedar waxwings, white-winged scoter, merlin, rough-leg hawks, northern shrike, dbl. crested cormorant, coot, robin and the usual winter residents. A snowy owl was reported the day before the Sturgeon Bay count and the day before the Brussels count. We still have many reports to come in. We had 26 field observers in eleven parties and 29 feeders being watched for the Sturgeon Bay count and 14 people in 7 field parties plus 11 feeders for the Brussels count.
