Greetings, This last 4/26/2012 I went to the Bong SRA to see and photograph the Common Redpolls that had been seen there in the cedar trees. While there I met a few of you, and you helped and directed me with my search. I spent 2-3 hours at the entrance, the bird feeders, and walking past the varies cedar tree areas with no luck. Then about the time as I was ready to head home, I talked to a couple who had just seen the Redpolls and they pointed out the parking lot at the start of the Trail Head Lot. They had just seen the Redpolls in the cedar trees and on the ground. They had also directed another avid Racine birder to the Redpoll location. I caught up with him and we walked to the location where we heard the birds, but did not see them. He started pfishing the birds. If you would like more of the story of the Common Redpoll search, it can be found and seen at: http://thebirdpoint.wordpress.com/2012/02/29/common-redpoll-bird-passerines-2262012/ Thanks again for all who were so helpful in the Redpoll seach.
