Just a heads up for those who regularly observe Sandhill Cranes in Wisconsin... There was a Hooded Crane hanging out with Sandhill Cranes in southeastern Tennessee in December and January. Apparently it was last seen in Tennessee on January 30, and there was a report of a possible Hooded Crane in far southern Indiana on February 1. Today there was a confirmed sighting of a Hooded Crane in the Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area in southwestern Indiana. The bird arrived with a flock of Sandhills. Judging from the direction this bird is going, it's possible that it might hit Wisconsin at some point, in the company of Sandhills...
