I was the other birder fortunate enough to see the BALD EAGLE in Waukesha as mentioned in Tom Wright's post. It was so beautiful and sunny that I decided to stop by the river after work just to see any common bird that might be there. Thankfully, right as I got out of my car I looked up and saw a huge figure flying up the river. I ran to the river-walk and then walked to where I had a good look at it, although it was on the other side of the river. I was shocked to see if flying along a river-walk with several joggers and people strolling along. It landed in a tree for about 2 minutes and gave me a decent look. Before I could get so that the sun was really behind me he took off, but what a treat it was to see such a beautiful bird when all I was expecting were Canada Geese! Hopefully it comes back!
