Marty:
I just did this and it worked. I brought up Winamp, pressed ctrl-l and
entered the exact url you had in your e-mail and hit enter. Winamp got and
played
it so fast I was startled. If that other player comes up when you do this,
then you need to go into that other player's priorities and shut them down.

Hi all, this is winamp related, but it will sound like it is off topic,
but here's what I'm wondering, and that is, is there a way to stream a
file with winamp from a web site without uploading either a .m3u file,
or a .pls file, so that an address such as
_http://207.36.18.73:8040_ (http://207.36.18.73:8040)
will play in winamp, rather than the other player. I could write a
link, and paste the above address in, and after the link is created, if
I go to it, it will bring up the other player, so just out of
curiossity, can this be done, or, must you always upload either an .m3u
or a .pls file that winamp can point to in order to play your stream
with winamp? Hope this is not considered off topic, but was just
curious about this.
