OH yeah that's for sure, and don't be scared of them. They're all
the fun in using winamp, that's
for sure

Yes, plugins are what makes Winamp the fantastic piece of software
it is. Plugins allow Winamp to play different audio formats,
broadcast on the internet, change the sound of a file, add
compression, all kinds of things. Basically, installing a plugin is
like installing any other program. If the instalation file you
download has a .zip extention, simply use whatever unzip utility you
use to get the plugin file, usually this is a .dll file into your
plugins folder under Winamp. If the plugin has a .exe extention,
it'll do this automatically when you install it. It's important to
make sure Winamp is closed before doing this, or you'll get an error
message. Nah, plugins aren't bad at all.
They can be lots of fun.

Thanks Marty, I never understood pluggins very much. Do these
come with winamp or do I need to look for them somewhere. I have
a folder with a couple hundred that I downloaded from somewhere
but I have no idea what they do or how to install and use
'em. Got any suggestions? The whole pluggin thing kind of scares me.
