Hi Howard, to change the output plug-ins, just press control p for
preferences, and once in the tree-view, press the letter o for output,
then tab to the list of plug-ins, and select the one you wish, in this
case, to stop the fade in and fade out problem, the nullsoft waveoutput
plug-in should be at the top of the list, just press the space bar to
select it, since it is at the top of the list, then, either press
escape, or tab to close and press the space bar, and your plug-in
choice is changed. The neat thing, if you could call it a neat thing
about winamp, though it can be daunting for new users is, that, just by
exiting the dialog, you can rapidly make changes, in most cases,
without worrying about an okay button, though this is very non-standard
for new winamp users.

Thanks Marty, I never understood pluggins very much. Do these come
with
winamp or do I need to look for them somewhere. I have a folder with a

couple hundred that I downloaded from somewhere but I have no idea what
they
do or how to install and use 'em. Got any suggestions? The whole
pluggin
thing kind of scares me.
