The currently playing file takes up ram when it is playing. Once that file
is done, the next song is loaded into memory for playing. The cycle repeats
itself every time a new file is playing.]

I won't go in depth here, because this teeters on the borders of off topic,
but music files don't actually take up ram. Ram is what allows the processor
to perform the tasks the programs are instructed to do. The music files take
up space on the hard drive, if that is what you were pointing towards, but
the files themselves have nothing directly to do with the ram.

Sincerely,
Robert Robinson
