Try opening up the task manager then clicking your install button and watch your processes. See if you can identify what file the setup button is calling, then browse the cd and run it. (or you could just search for setup.exe and see if that is the right one.) Basically run the setup program without going through the autorun interface. -----Original Message----- From: Peter Greis [mailto:peter_greis@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, March 26, 2001 2:57 PM To: win2kforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [win2kforum] Installer woes... Greetings Everyone, I am trying to install Oracle 8.1.6 Person onto my Dell win2k box. The installer starts when the CD is inserted, but I simply get an hourglass which quickly disappears when I click on install. Does anyone have any ideas? I have tryed installing just after reboot, shutting down services; nothing seems to work. Thanks in advance, -peter __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
