If you rank the replies in any way except alpha, you're going to skew the results. Would definitely recommend Access over Excel or Word. With Access you can put the non Yes/No replies in a memo field and create reports with different views of the data (by title, by age, by longevity with company, etc, amount of previous training). You should even be able to create reports based on the memo fields (# of times "learning" appeared in a reply, etc. Christie Mason ----- Original Message ----- From: "Keren Solomon" <kerensolomon@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <webproducers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 17, 2002 8:21 AM Subject: [webproducers] Re: user questionairres It depends how many answers you have and how statistically accurate you want the data to be. There are packages for data analysis (SPSS is a common one I believe). My company uses access and excel. Definitely not word. Regarding open end questions, you can make a list of the answers and can then provide them as a list, most common answers on top to lower on bottom. -----Original Message----- From: webproducers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:webproducers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of m o r r y Sent: Monday, December 16, 2002 11:41 PM To: webproducers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [webproducers] user questionairres how do peple go about compiling answers to questionairres or surveys? do you use excel/access/word? what kind of tips and tricks would you recommend to make it east to see the data for non yes no questions. __________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a blank message with unsubscribe in the subject to webproducers-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To access our webform (instead of sending e-mail) for popular commands including subscribe, unsubscribe, digest, and vacation visit www.WebProducers.org.
