Hello Thomas,

Thanks for your input...

In answer to your list below...

1. USB Midi support .
I know there is Midi in XP and Me but that part is not working very
well (unplug problems). A USB audio device with Midi produces a blue
screen under W2000 and 98.
Further it might be a good idea to do the midi stuff in another
driver. I had really strange problems with USB Midi in XP until I
removed the Midi interface from the audio class and declared a custom
interface.

[DJ Sisolak] I have done a lot of work recently to upgrade the MIDI
support in my development version of the driver. This includes improved
handling of requests and support for MIDI Elements which may have been
the cause of your BSODs.

 2. Support for the DFU class.
Since the DeviceFirmwareUpdate is already defined, This would simpify
upgrades. I managed that with a custom device descriptor and driver.
Get /Set Mem won't be a solution for upgrades but might be usefull to
download dsp code.

[DJ Sisolak] Good Point. I had forgotten about the DFU class. I will try
to pursue that internally. I hope to include the Get/Set Mem support in
the driver for whatever purpose it may suit for vendors.

 3. Vendor Requests.
The possibility to send Control Requests (Vendor Requests) to a usb
audio device. This would simplify the impementation of unsupported
features (Mixers for example)

[DJ Sisolak] Mixers as well as all process units will be supported in an
upcoming version of the driver. It should also have a vendor request in
it.

4. backport of new features at least to W2000.

[DJ Sisolak] Can't promise anything here. I am just a dev :-) For
release information please follow up off of the reflector with
jacku@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

5. a doc which parts of the spec are implemented.

[DJ Sisolak] I have already begun work on this.

6. 96k in halfduplex mode for Usb 1.1
or even better Usb 2.0 support.

[DJ Sisolak] I am not aware of anything that restricts you from doing
96KHz half-duplex, and some sort of USB 2.0 support is also in the plan.

Thanks,
DJ Sisolak
