If in doubt, do it. This may surprise you, but women like presents and
acknowledgement of their worth and your appreciation of it. You could make her
a nice breakfast; clean up the pile of your junk she has been reminding you
about for years. Even one little flower is a reminder of how wonderful she is.
Light a candle and tell it that it reminds you of her warm, glowing heart.
I also have received "mother's day" acknowledgements, but the meaning in my
case is quite different. I can explain it to you next time we see each other.
