Eamonn,

yes, you could do this. If you don't have authorization for JAWS13, then you will be running it in demo mode. Then if the authorize prompt comes up, tab over and exit the Authorization manager and check the 'do not show me this again' checkbox. This won't stop the prompt altogether, but there you go. Demos are just temporary solutions or workarounds anyway. If Jaws13 or whatever starts by default, then you can uncheck that in the JAWS basics Options dialogue for that version. It is likely that the later JAWS will or won't work with the program, unless they've done their research.

Subject: [vicsireland] running 2 versions of Jaws?

Hi folks,

In work, I’m using version 9 of Jaws.

It appears this version is incompatible with a recently introduced
database.

Justice I.T. plan to install a later version of Jaws this afternoon, to see
if it works with the database. I assume it’s Jaws 13.

Question: Can you run Jaws 9 as default, and version 13 in demo mode, on the same machine? Any issues in installing V13, of which I should make our
I.T. unit aware?

Regards,

Eamonn
