Great to have your feedback!

I will be installing Mcafee as stated in an earllier mail which is good too,
Disabling the windows firewall and also as you kindly advise not the windows

  Hi,

I find the Zone Alarm firewall fine to use with JAWS. I tried their full
Internet security software and found it to be disasterous from an accessibility
point of view.

Remember that if you install another firewall it is advisable to disable the
Windows one, but not to disable the Windows popup blocker.

  Take care,

    Hi Gerry,

I used the free version of Zone Alarm a couple of years back, but I
didn't think it was very accessible with Jaws.

There's an old review of it on the Main Menu site; in Which the reviewer
(Don Coco,) concludes that it's more accessible with Window Eyes than Jaws.

    How accessible is it now.

I'm currently using the paid version of Grisofts anti-virus and firewall,
which appear to work fine.

    Regards,

    Eamonn

    Hi,

A firewal is not just nice to have, but an absolute necessity to stop
attacks on your computer, particularly if you have broadband.

Windows XP and Vista have a firewall built-in, but they are not the best. If
you use another firewall, I suggest you disable the Windows one.

I use Zone Alarm's firewall which is free and is highly recommended.
