yeah! you're right, some fully sighted people change fonts to blue etc but why jaws might not be able to read a message in different fonts
is something I can't understand, it seems that ariel black is the default for jaws to read in messages only, although I have often replied to messages writing the body text in a word document in times new roman and cut and paste to the message but there is no problem in reading the message afterwards when it completes the circut in the list. Ger,

I even experienced the issue sometimes in Outlook Express. What worked for you was to do with different colour text which, when you selected it, was put right and JAWS could then read it. Something like that, anyway.

Thanks Gerry.

When I read your email, I thought, eureka, why didn't I think of that? But
when I tried selecting Eamon's text and then copied and pasted it to word,
it still appeared blank, including when I checked it with JAWS.

Here is Flor's explanation of what is happening, taken from another list a
few days ago. He is replying to another list member, Aedan O'Meadhra, who
experiences similar problems to mine with messages from Stuart and Eamon.

it's because Stuart's msg is in Rich text (RTF) that you couldn't read it in
Outlook.

Hi Paul,
if you select the text in the email and copy it to a word document you will
beable to read it.
