1. i take it that "ok google" is a skill that you are trying to get
alexa to respond to?
it seems that skill (for sure) is a skill associated with echo, but,
perhaps not the fire? or, it is necessary to install/enable that
skill? open up the alexa app link on the home screen and see if you
can find that skill if you have not already done this.
lastly, just blue-skying, have you said "open ok google" instead of
just "ok google"?
by the way, can you explain what that skill does?
i know for sure that apps native to the fire will open. if you say
"open email" the email app on the fire will open.
default keyboard? if you go to "quick settings" then tap on "settings"
and then on "keyboard and language" you will have an option to make
your installed google keyboard set as default.
