Will there be a sound to let you know if you have the Bluetooth keyboard turned
on? Thank you so much for your help.

Subject: [vi-kindle] Re: Bluetooth keyboard
hi. i have this keyboard, but, never used it. however, saying that, here is
what you need to know.
1. the keyboard requires two triple a batteries.
2. after inserting the batteries, turn on the switch top bottom of the keyboard.
3. push the button (next to the power on/off switch) to pair to your fire after
doing step 4.
4. go into your fire bluetooth settings which are found by swiping from the top
of the home page with two fingers for quick settings.
swipe and double tap on settings. double tap on wireless and then on bluetooth.
swipe for info. you will need to add the pin number given when you first pair
the keyboard to your fire.
5. note that you can (and, need to if not sighted) connect the fire also with a
usb keyboard with dongle cable unless you are comfortable with the virtual
keyboard to insert the pin number.
6. note your amazon basic bluetooth keyboard does not have the need for a cable
nor is there any way to connect one.
thanks to my wife for pointing out what i thought was correct but told me for
sure!
stay well ... william

Hi. I have an amazon basics Bluetooth keyboard that is supposed to
work with the Kindle Fire. My question is how do I hook it up to the
Kindle? I am assuming that the otg cable that I received from
Talkingmp3players works with this device. I assume that the end of the
cable with the spikes goes in the Kindle but I can not figure where
the other end goes. The Bluetooth keyboard has a piece that will come
off but I am not sure if the other end of the cable goes there. Does
the keyboard take batteries? There is a switch on the back that will
go up and down what is this button for? I am supposed to have some
sighted assistance later on today but if anyone on this list has a
Amazon basics Bluetooth keyboard that could help me out it would be
appreciated.
