I agree that the native apps work well. For one app take a look at one called App Eater that is a bulk app remover. This is pretty typical of a lot of the third party apps. As an iPhone user too I wish there was a lot more pressure from Google to app developers to get them to label all buttons etc.

Gil,
I do have to ask one question however. You would stated that most of the
android apps have lots upon lots of unlabeled buttons. when you say most of the
android apps, what apps exactly are you specifically referring to? I have found
that most of the native Google apps work fantastically straight out-of-the-box.
okay, I'll grant you, there may be a couple of unlabeled buttons here and
there, but they are very few and far between. so I'm a little bit confused on
that statement you made. Can you be a little bit more specific?

Chris.

Gil,

When focused on the button which needs labelling, with one finger, swype up
then right to enter the local context menu. Now place your finger in the
center of the screen, and then ever so slightly slide straight up toward the
top of the screen. Go slow, or you'll miss it. There is an option there
called label button, I think it says? Once your finger is hoverring on this,
lift your finger from the screen. Now, type the label. Then locate the save
button. Be careful as I think there is also a done button in here on your
keyboard itself. That isn't what you want. You actually wanna find the save
button above the keyboard. Double tap this, and there you go.

Subject: [vi-android] Labeling buttons

Hello,

I'm new to the list and an Android phone. I have a Moto X. I haven't been able
to figure out how to label buttons. This is a big problem as the Android apps
contain many, many, too many unlabeled buttons. I've done Google searches for
instructions and find the results lacking.

Thanks in advance,

Gil
