Hello birders..
I seem to have a pair of Wood Thrush here that were mating the other day.
Are their nests similar to a Thrasher's ? I want to keep an eye on them if I
can. So far, we have been successful in keeping marauding cats at bay, since
I have seen the fledgling Thrashers out and about. Just curious about Wood
Thrush nests..
Here's the only picture I was able to get. They were in a crabapple tree.

Visited Cumberland Marsh yesterday and saw 4 Orchard Orioles, Yellow Rumps,
numerous RWBB's an Osprey, and a beaver.. I heard a Northern Bobwhite but
couldn't locate it. A welcome sound, I must say.
Tried (and failed) to move a Snapping Turtle out of the road, using a heavy
stick to prod him. He refused to co-operate, so I hope he finally went
across. It's not a busy road, thankfully....
