VA Birders, 12 birders came out for today's walk at the Manassas Battlefield. The day started out sunny and cool, but warmed up as the morning progressed. We birded two locations: the Stone Bridge and Chinn Ridge and tallied 53 species total. Highlights at Stone Bridge (SB) included a Scarlet Tanager, singing Indigo Buntings, and an active Gnatcatcher nest. Chinn Ridge (CR) featured several Eastern Kingbirds, 2 young Orchard Orioles, and an Eastern Wood-Peewee (seen after the main walk). Here is the complete list which is a composite of both locations.
