Following Phil Kenny's post yesterday, I birded the NY Monuments area of
Manassas Battlefield NP this morning (starting about 8:00 a.m.). There were
SO
many birds that I missed a zillion and I wish I'd had someone with me. I saw
a lot of the same species he mentioned yesterday (except the Winter Wren I
was looking for). It seemed like the majority of the birds were YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERS, so that's up from yesterday. Afterwards, I parked at the Stone
Bridge parking lot and walked west from there. I don't actually know where
"Sparrow Alley" is. Anyway, along the boardwalk after the bridge, there was a
NORTHERN PARULA. He's pretty late isn't he?
