This week's QuickTip coming up, but first...

==> "Cross-Day" Protection in TuneStacker!

While TuneStacker has always been a clever program, capable of amazing, complex music randomizations, it has been weak cross-day protection department, because it has never kept track of what was placed in the previously-created program log. Thus, you could easily have the same song occur just before midnight Tuesday, and again just after midnight Wednesday. Hardly ideal!

That's why we're very happy to be offering "cross-day" protection in TuneStacker 4, which will be a part of the new TuneTracker System upgrade we're releasing May 1st. TuneStacker 4 is also amazingly faster (in our tests at least ten times faster) when generating program logs.

For the sake of our TuneTracker Insiders, we have already posted a web page showing a nearly-complete list of the many improvements coming your way in the new upgrade, which also includes seriously-great new features in Command Center 4.5 and Lightning. Read up!

Feel free to pre-order if you like. You can do so right on the page. Or call for more information, or to place your order for the TuneTracker Systems 4.5 upgrade, at 920-273-0543.

QuickTip:  "Silencing SoundPlay"

If you're an Internet broadcaster, and want to listen to something other than your broadcast signal through your main sound card's output, you can do so without affecting what's playing on your Internet stream. It's a trick that's useful if you want to preview some music, mark ramp times, etc.

1. Click the BeOS start button, move your mouse over Preferences, and left-click on Media

2. On the left side, "Audio Mixer."

3. On the right side, click the "Mute" x-box associated with SoundPlay. It will go silent in your speakers, but continue to be heard over the Internet. When you want to hear it again, just unmute it.

Important: This tip is for Internet-only broadcasters. If you're broadcasting a traditional over-the-air terrestrial station, don't use this tip, because it will silence your broadcast signal!
