He received his BSc and MSc from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and a PHD from York University. Dr. Teixeira has written 3 books on the Portuguese in Canada. He has also had several articles published in journals such as Urban Geography, Professional Geographer, Canadian Geographer, and Urban Studies.
