The positions are highly research based, 10- 12 hours/ week.

WORK-STUDY POSITIONS FOR THE WASTE-ECON PROGRAM


POSITION 1

1.      Focus on educational outreach
?       Conduct research on social justice and environment units in Ontario 
curriculum framework
?       Research outreach opportunities on- and off-campus with a focus on 
environmental groups
?       Develop mailing lists for Cambodian, Laotian and Vietnamese newsletters

2.      Administration
?       Coordinate filing system and assist with consolidation of electronic 
files
?       Organize monitoring and financial data

3.      Research
?       Carry out internet and library research on a variety of topics related 
to waste management

POSITION 2

1.      Focus on Waste-Econ library and Web Site
?       Assist with collection and documentation of new materials for Waste-
Econ library
?       Update library database and once per month update web spreadsheet 
version
?       Research new links for web site, review for dead links and editorial 
corrections

2.      Administration
?       Assist with photocopying, mailings, general office tasks

3.      Research
?       Carry out internet and library research on a variety of topics related 
to waste management
