Ken,

No strong preference here. I use common name, scientific name and hodges #. I
find it easy to copy and paste from BugGuide. This has the added benefit of
allowing a reader to click onto the BugGuide link to the species from my
e-mail.

Is there a preference of scientific name over common or does the Hodges# take
care of any confusion?

Some easy ones that even I can ID!

One I forgot to send from awhile back.
