I've seen only 1 Coral HS this year and it was a boldly marked female feeding
on butterflyweed. Most of the butterflyweed in this area has been vacant so far
this spring. I don't know what's going on

I don't know why, but it seems that all the Coral Hairstreaks that I've
seen this year are weakly marked and looking a little puny. Anyone else
noticing the same thing? Usually, there are at least some that are
large and downright gaudy, with BIG orange spots. Saw a dozen today on
two species of milkweed. They love that milkweed.
