TN Birders, Today I made the 600 mile round trip to see the Snowy Owl in Kentucky. He was right in the field mentioned-being harassed by a photographer. I would not describe this person as a "birder" because I hope birders have better ethics! The owl flew to a pole just over my head and I had to wait until he flew to another pole to see him well. I was able to make some great pictures from inside my car. There were other birders there and they all stayed in their cars too. I know the temptation is great to chase the bird to get it to fly or whatever a photographer thinks he needs for that " great picture", but please show restraint and respect the bird's space. I'll say this, those yellow eyes are spectacular! Linda V.
