A Snowy Owl was seen October 30 by Matt Granstaff, a biologist with an
environmental firm, near the ball field of the White Co. Recreation Complex on
Guhse Rd. off Rt 70. A friend of his saw it on the 31st, but it wasn’t seen on
the 1st or 3rd.
I have no reason to think the bird was misidentified - it would be a hard bird
to misidentify. The owl was close to the road and Matt saw it fly a short
distance.
I intend to go out today and search the fields in the area.
