[TN-Bird] Sightings Report, 19-23 Sept, Collierville area, Shelby County

Location: TN 1 Cvll, Greenbelt trail Tara Wds- Ashton Wds
Observation date: 9/19/07, 650-730am
Notes: Walked on the greenbelt trail next to house and property,
Hummingbirds at my feeders are still the big highlight. Warblers in the
trees but ???? what they are. The two B&W Warblers stood out though along
the tree trunks foraging.

Eastern Phoebe 1

Black-and-white Warbler 2
Common Grackle 3
House Finch 1
House Sparrow 5
Location: TN 1 Cvll, Peterson Lake Nature Center
Observation date: 9/22/07, 10am-1245pm
Notes: Later morning walk on the board walk. lots of birds. Warblers
present in numbers but I couldn't ID. Hermit Thrush was one bird that stayed
visible for good looks for several minutes along with Am Redstarts.

Observation date: 9/22/07,615-715pm
Notes: Evening walk at the old landfill & greenbelt. Like elsewhere
water levels in all ponds are way, way down.

Observation date: 9/23/07, 830-10am
Notes: Morning walk through the swamp and woods. No snakes in the muddy
swamp but met two Cottonmouths and a Copperhead at different points on the
dry trail on the rim of the swamp.
