I just returned from Kingston Steam Plant, Roane Co, where I saw 2 Ruddy Shelducks. Big red birds with white on their faces. They were very pretty. The only shorebirds present were Killdeers, Least and Spotted Sandpipers. There were also 8 Great Egrets, 1 Snowy Egret, and numerous Great Blues and Black-crowned Night-Herons. Eastern Kingbirds are gathering - at least 15 were in the area. Audrey R.
