Just a reminder about the bird ID search tool that we have developed just for Tennessee's birds (and other wildlife). The Tennessee's Watchable Wildlife web site has a birds section where you can sort the birds by one of many characteristics, incl. color, habitat, species group, etc. http://www.tnwatchablewildlife.org/ The web site also has a lot of information on where to watch wildlife in Tennessee (soon to be updated with info on where to go in fall). Cheers, Scott Somershoe Did you know that Watchable Wildlife Endowment Fund dollars (aka Bluebird tag) are spent exclusively on research on declining and threatened species in Tennessee (primarily birds), purchase of land for conservation, and promotion of wildlife viewing opportunities, i.e. Elk at N. Cumberland WMA, Sandhill Cranes at Hiwassee and Yuchi Refuges, and shorebirds and other wildlife at many other WMA's and TWRA Refuges? >I did a little more searching at allaboutbirds.org and a newly acquired >Sibley Guide and determined my unknown bird described below is a >Chestnut-sided Warbler. I didn't get a clear look at the back of the bird, >and my >description of the coloration was affected by my red/green colorblindness : ) > >Clay Collins >Nashville, TN State Ornithologist Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency P.O.
