This is Update Number #15 made on July 29, 2003.

Fall migration has begun in our area with the first report of shorebirds at
the Brainerd Levee on July 26.
Two Solitary and two Least Sandpipers were present as well as two Great
Egrets.(Kevin Calhoon)
A very early Northern Waterthrush was in Jonnie Sue Lyons yard on Signal
Mountain on July 12!
The Cravens House has had migrating neotropical songbirds moving through for
a couple of weeks now.
On July 28 the highlights included:
1 Cerulean Warbler
5 Black-throated Green
5 Worm-eating
1 Black and White
1 Hooded
1 Gray Catbird
July 27:
3 Cerulean Warbler
1 Common Yellowthroat
2 Black and White
1 Hooded
1 Worm-eating
4 Tree Swallow
July 20:
1 Chestnut-sided
1 Northern Parula
7 Black-throated Green
2 Hooded
2 Worm-eating
1 Black and White
The next general meeting of the Chattanooga TOS will be on August 14
