[TN-Bird] Roan Mountain and environs (Carter Co., TN)

Hampton Creek Cove State Natural Area (Carter Co., TN)
Carver's Gap (Roan Mountain, Carter Co., TN / Mitchell Co., NC)

Perfect summer weather at midday today around Roan Mountain--cool
temperatures, low humidity, frequent breeze, plenty of clouds to dampen
the sun's fierceness.  Brief stops at Hampton Creek Cove State Natural
Area and Carver's Gap produced the following:

Alder Flycatcher (2 seen and heard (calling) at CG);
Willow Flycatcher (2 seen and heard (calling) at HCCSNA);
Common Raven (heard calling at CG);
Red-breasted Nuthatch (3 heard (calling and singing) at CG);
Golden-winged Warbler (silent male among a flock of chickadees and
titmice at HCCSNA);
Yellow Warbler (singing male at HCCSNA);
Red Crossbill (3 seen and heard (calling and singing) at CG, on both
sides of the state line);
Pine Siskin (2 seen and heard (calling and singing) at CG on TN side, 1
bird crossing to NC).
