OK We run WinNT 4.0 and Citrix XPe FR1. And the feature isn't there so I
guess its either a Win2k or FR2 feature.

Thanks,

FYI - This feature within the CMC is only available in Metaframe XPe,
not XPs or XPa.

I don't know if it is available on all flavors, but on a W2K SP2 XPe FR2
farm, select a server and right click to bring up the properties. There
is
a tab labeled REBOOT SCHEDULE.

OK what autoreboot feature in the CMC. I haven't seen this. IS this
something only on Win2k boxes? If not, where can I find it?

thanks,

Adam,=3D20

The reboot built into the CMC on the XPe version of XP works fine for
standard reboots, and can even notify your users to get log off prior to
the reboot.=3D20

The scripts that you've seen people post about, are more for when you
decide to do some server clean-up when you're rebooting your servers.
Typically the clean-up is in removing un-needed, temp files, unloaded
profiles, and most everything from the spool directory.=3D20

You don't need to go the extra mile that some people do in their reboot
scripts. It just depends on your situation.=3D20

As a stand alone feature, the auto-reboot for XPe works fine.

HI All,

We are about to start rebooting our MF servers nightly. I've seen a lot
of
posts regarding batch scripting to achieve this. Why use a batch script
instead of using the CMC control tab? I am not worried too much about
interupting work as the reboot tab has the ability to send out reminder
msgs before rebooting. We are taking the stance that if they don't
logoff,
their problem, not ours.

My config is: W2k SP2 XPe FR2.
