Angela,

Page 17 of the latest WI Admin Guide
(http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX116590) - or page 21 of the 4,5 WI
Admin guide. Which WI are you running?

The WI servers communicate with the Citrix XML Service

WI Service would communicate on a refresh/logon. PNAgent would communicate
on logon/user request refresh & whenever you'd configured an automatic
refresh

There are advanced settings for XML Communication timeout - I think the
default is about 1 min

I wouldn't expect a significant change based on what you've said - but the
latest Ctx Edgesight for loadtesting release has the ability to launch Web
interface connections - so you could test from where you are now, and then
test again from the states to confirm.

Subject: [THIN] Web Interface across a WAN?

Hi

Our company is looking at moving our Citrix Web Interface server to our US
Head Office. All other Citrix Servers will remain in our country. We use
Citrix Presentation Server 4 with Citrix Web Interface client and PNAgent
clients. Will I encounter performance issues if the Web Interface Servers
(running on Windows 2003) are moved across the WAN? WAN Link size is around
20Mb and not busy.

Do the WI and PNAgent clients communicate frequently with the Web Interface
servers for config refreshes or is the Web Interface only accessed when
logging on? I do not have a good understanding of Citrix communication
flows with WI. If anyone has a diagram that would assist then that would be
fantastic.

Regards
Angela
