mmh...shure u can use tool like "newsid"
but why? I have several sysprep-images for our Laptops
and it works great for me...
Booting into DOS with Networksupport...starting ghost...get the image
from server...finish - fine.

I got some old Compaq-Deskpros that don't do sysprep in the way it should do
- the images i created with are all shity...don't know why at the moment...

I've installed 10 TS in October with sysprep - no problems...
