A service not shutting down in a timely manner perhaps. Does the event log= have any pointers in it? I've seen exchange 5.5 boxes that can take up to an hour+ to shutdown. The= same servers shutdown normally when the exchange services were stopped bef= ore shutting the box down. =20 Tim -----Original Message----- From: Michael Boggan [mailto:MBoggan@xxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Tuesday, 3 June 2003 1:14 PM To: THIN (THIN@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) Subject: [THIN] Server hangs on reboot I have seen this before but can't find the fix for it. I have a server that when you do a restart, it hands at the little box that says preparing to shutdown. It just hangs there. I let it sit for 30 minutes and it doesn't move. Can anyone remember what might cause this? Its an NT TSE box. =20 _________________________________ =20 Michael Boggan Network Engineer/Citrix Admin Virtual Desktop Inc.
