Hi,

The install language, if English, is always US English. You have to be
scrupulous in changing the SystemLocale, UserLocale and InputLocale or
US English will just keep popping up.

And then of course there's the default user which defines what new users
get.

If you've got exisiting user profiles that you don't want to lose, you can
either use something like setlocale, or scripting to fix things on login.
Otherwise the easiest thing to do is fix the default user, blow away the
exisitng profiles and start again.

Regards,

Rick

I did check this, but this option is greyed out with no tick in it., I
guessed because I only have one input locale installed,

So why is it showing?!?

I have also checked the default regional setting, and this is set to "United
Kingdom".

It would be great of OEM's could sell regionalised versions, so it defaulted
to the country it was being sold in, rather than everything always
defaulting to US!!!! (sorry, just one of my bug-bears).

Not sure this is a definite answer to your question, but you can disable the
indicator (control panel -> regional options -> input locales - it's there
at the bottom).

And you can set a default local / regional setting, too.
