We have been doing some testing here for wireless network scenarios like
CDMA and possibly wireless ADSL where you are billed per MB.
Findings are as predicted.
ICA generated at least half as much traffic as RDP. Great for the client, as
thet would recieve lower overall phone charges.
Performance over these connections were very much in favor of ICA.

Traditionally (not sure if the latest incarnations of RDP or ICA have
changed this much), RDP could be faster at full screen updates, whereas
ICA
could be much faster at partial screen updates.
In translation, at LAN type connection speeds, there's probably little
in it
- perhaps tipping the wink to RDP. At true WAN type, and slower, speeds,
ICA
*should* be notably better performing.
As always, YMMV, and individual apps and expectations will vary.
