An even better driver, well not better but more generic, is the HP LaserJet II driver. If you run into speed, compatibility issues, anything that deals with driver issues and an HP LaserJet printer...most likely a good work-around is always the LaserJet II driver. Lucas W. Steve,=3D20 Can't say I've had experience with this one in particular. But since it's an HP printer, I've found that the HP laserjet 4 driver works great as a default driver for almost all their printers.=3D20 If you just want it to print (no colors, no frills) that or a plain text driver should do it for you.=3D20 HTH J -----Original Message----- From: Steve Rance [mailto:Steve.Rance@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]=3D20 Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2003 8:43 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Problem with HP Photosmart 1100 Printer...Any Ideas? Sorry for replying to my own question but the silence is deafening... ;) I will ask a more basic question; Does anyone have any experience of the HP Photosmart 1100 printer in a = =3D =3D3D Citrix environment? Thanks, Steve -----Original Message----- From: Steve Rance=3D3D20 Sent: 04 June 2003 13:48 To: Thin @ Freelists (E-mail) Subject: [THIN] Problem with HP Photosmart 1100 Printer...Any Ideas? Hi All, We have a HP Photosmart 1100 printer that is connected on the back of a =3D3D =3D3D3D Windows 98 PC. It it shared and has been used = successfully =3D from various =3D3D =3D3D3D fat-clients for a while now. Due to an office move around it is now = =3D =3D3D =3D3D3D required for some of our thin clients to print to it.=3D3D3D20 I have setup the printer on the Citrix server by connecting to it as a = =3D =3D3D =3D3D3D network printer (it appears as "PRINTERNAME on = COMPUTERNAME"), it didn't =3D3D =3D3D3D prompt for a driver during the install. When I = try to print anything to =3D3D =3D3D3D it from Citrix, the job appears in = the queue =3D on the Citrix server for =3D3D =3D3D3D half a second then disappears. It =3D doesn't appear on the queue on the PC =3D3D =3D3D3D = the printer is connected to, and nothing prints. If I print to it =3D3D3D direct from the PC, or from a fat-client the print job appears in the =3D3D =3D3D3D printer queue on =3D Citrix. I have setup the printer exactly the same way on a fat-client Windows = =3D =3D3D =3D3D3D 2000 Pro PC and it works no problem. I have also = downloaded the latest Windows 2000 Drivers for it from the =3D3D =3D3D3D hp site = and =3D updated the driver on the Citrix server. Any ideas on why its not working? If there is a different driver I should be using, how do I change this = =3D =3D3D =3D3D3D as I can't find where I can change which driver the = printer should use. Note: We don't use any of the fancy features on it, all we do is print = =3D =3D3D =3D3D3D documents, so I don't care if we lose those abilities. Thanks for any ideas, Steve ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Appsense Technologies New!
