Sorry for replying to my own question but the silence is deafening... ;) I will ask a more basic question; Does anyone have any experience of the HP Photosmart 1100 printer in a = Citrix environment? Thanks, Steve -----Original Message----- From: Steve Rance=20 Sent: 04 June 2003 13:48 To: Thin @ Freelists (E-mail) Subject: [THIN] Problem with HP Photosmart 1100 Printer...Any Ideas? Hi All, We have a HP Photosmart 1100 printer that is connected on the back of a = =3D Windows 98 PC. It it shared and has been used successfully from various = =3D fat-clients for a while now. Due to an office move around it is now = =3D required for some of our thin clients to print to it.=3D20 I have setup the printer on the Citrix server by connecting to it as a = =3D network printer (it appears as "PRINTERNAME on COMPUTERNAME"), it didn't = =3D prompt for a driver during the install. When I try to print anything to = =3D it from Citrix, the job appears in the queue on the Citrix server for = =3D half a second then disappears. It doesn't appear on the queue on the PC = =3D the printer is connected to, and nothing prints. If I print to it =3D direct from the PC, or from a fat-client the print job appears in the = =3D printer queue on Citrix. I have setup the printer exactly the same way on a fat-client Windows = =3D 2000 Pro PC and it works no problem. I have also downloaded the latest Windows 2000 Drivers for it from the = =3D hp site and updated the driver on the Citrix server. Any ideas on why its not working? If there is a different driver I should be using, how do I change this = =3D as I can't find where I can change which driver the printer should use. Note: We don't use any of the fancy features on it, all we do is print = =3D documents, so I don't care if we lose those abilities. Thanks for any ideas, Steve ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - Appsense Technologies New!
