Steve,=20

Can't say I've had experience with this one in particular. But since
it's an HP printer, I've found that the HP laserjet 4 driver works great
as a default driver for almost all their printers.=20

If you just want it to print (no colors, no frills) that or a plain text
driver should do it for you.=20

Sorry for replying to my own question but the silence is deafening... ;)

I will ask a more basic question;

Does anyone have any experience of the HP Photosmart 1100 printer in a =
=3D
Citrix environment?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi All,

We have a HP Photosmart 1100 printer that is connected on the back of a
=3D =3D3D Windows 98 PC. It it shared and has been used successfully =
from
various =3D =3D3D
fat-clients for a while now. Due to an office move around it is now =
=3D
=3D3D
required for some of our thin clients to print to it.=3D3D20

I have setup the printer on the Citrix server by connecting to it as a =
=3D
=3D3D network printer (it appears as "PRINTERNAME on COMPUTERNAME"), it
didn't =3D =3D3D prompt for a driver during the install. When I try to
print anything to =3D =3D3D it from Citrix, the job appears in the queue =
on
the Citrix server for =3D =3D3D half a second then disappears. It =
doesn't
appear on the queue on the PC =3D =3D3D the printer is connected to, and
nothing prints. If I print to it =3D3D direct from the PC, or from a
fat-client the print job appears in the =3D =3D3D printer queue on =
Citrix.

I have setup the printer exactly the same way on a fat-client Windows =
=3D
=3D3D 2000 Pro PC and it works no problem. I have also downloaded the
latest Windows 2000 Drivers for it from the =3D =3D3D hp site and =
updated
the driver on the Citrix server.

Any ideas on why its not working?
If there is a different driver I should be using, how do I change this =
=3D
=3D3D as I can't find where I can change which driver the printer should
use.

Note: We don't use any of the fancy features on it, all we do is print =
=3D
=3D3D documents, so I don't care if we lose those abilities.

Thanks for any ideas,

Steve
