Hey Ron.....Yea I know what ya mean...The ticket is still open but
support folks just seem so uninformed about the real environment....They
should be right behind the SE's...Anyway oh well.....These lines came
out of the Template.ica file on the NFUSE servers....I am not sure how
they got there as I was removed from the Citrix environment to fill some
other gaps and LRS was running the farm....I did find this one article
CTX204071 that references adding it to appsrv.ini but I am still not
sure what this does or how it got there.....

First off never leave a call with any support when they give you the "I
don't know"... I don't let them get away with that. Leave that ticket
open and get an answer. I mean hell its their code. They can find out.

Now, where did you remove these from?

Ping reply to the server is 30ms....One thing we did find though is
using the Full PN bypassing NFUSE and it is much faster...Upon
investigating this further we removed the lines below
<snip>
ForceLVBMode=1
DeferredUpdateMode=On
<snip>

and it is amazingly faster.....Anyone have any idea what these do??? I
asked Citrix support and they had no idea.....Any help is
appreciated.....

If you ping the server what is the round trip time?

We are experiencing some pretty severe slowdown in Office apps via
Citrix....By slowdown I mean that some users can get up to 1 1/2 lines
ahead of the screen.....We have tried speedscreen with FR3 with the
latest 7.0 client. We have tried bitmap caching and compression
enabled. Hardware is a DL380 with dual 1 GB processors and 4 GB
RAM.....I can be the only user on the server and see this hesitation
though...We are redirecting Appdata to a file server but it is on the
same Vlan as the Terminal Server...Some other details are below....Any
help is appreciated.....

Citrix Metaframe XPe FR3
Office XP installed with default settings and the usual turned off such
as spell as you type, provide feedback with animation, etc
