Just a question, maybe off base here, but what happens when you have a
two-way trust between the domains???

Subject: [THIN] Object Picker

     Hi All!

I have faced recently with such problem.

     I have two domains: one - WinNT4.0 SP6, the second - Win2k SP3.
One-way trust relationship is established between them, namely: Win2k
domain trusts WinNT domain. Naturally, for Win2k domain, it looks like
trust relationship with other forest. Except for that, the "domain
admins" group from WinNT domain is included in "Administrators" local
group in Win2k domain.

A problem is in the following: an error occurs when attempting to
set permissions to any resource in Win2k domain by means of network
connection with it from WinNT domain: "Unable to open Object Picker,
because the place where it could be found is absent". Thus it is
possible to modify permissions of a resource, but it is impossible to
add new members and give them an access.

     Articles 284914, 263231, 292575 from Microsoft didn't give answer
to the question because I don't have such conditions in which error
described in these articles occurs.

In Win2k domain all works fine and without any problems.

Maybe anyone faced with such problem and can tell how to solve it ?

Any opinions and ideas are welcome!
