Hi Ed, As long as the SQL user name/password is consistent shouldn't be a problem. You can also use dsmaint migrate to copy the datastore to the new SQL location. This has the minor advantage that it will do a verify for you as well to make sure everything is fine. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack Volante Systems ________________________________ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Ed Zubek Sent: Wed 13/10/2004 3:36 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Move SQL Data Store I am looking to move my data store to a new SQL server. Has anyone done this, that can offer some lessons learned? The plan right now is to back the existing DB. Restore it to the new SQL server. Change the file server name, in the file DSN, to point to the new SQL server, on each Citrix server in the farm. Any additional thoughts? Thanks in advance. ***************************************** This email and all attachments that may have been included are intended only for the use of the party to whom/which the email is addressed and may contain information that is privileged, confidential, or exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
