Hi Ed,

As long as the SQL user name/password is consistent shouldn't be a problem.

You can also use dsmaint migrate to copy the datastore to the new SQL location.
This has the minor advantage that it will do a verify for you as well to make
sure everything is fine.

Subject: [THIN] Move SQL Data Store

I am looking to move my data store to a new SQL server.
Has anyone done this, that can offer some lessons learned?
The plan right now is to back the existing DB.
Restore it to the new SQL server.
Change the file server name, in the file DSN, to point to the new SQL server,
on each Citrix server in the farm.

Any additional thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
