Were we would have un-responsive servers, some services wouldn't
start (i.e. MSSQL 7.0), and the servers were EXTREMELY sluggish (Dual
and Quad PIII 700-900MHz Xeon systems with 4-12GB of RAM). Once we
removed EPO and McAfee with just Symantec NAVCE 7.6, the systems
begain to perform better, and were cleaning the servers better than
McAfee.
For those that like McAfee, I'll refrain from calling it Mcrappy.

Yeah, don't install EPO or McAfee on your Terminal Servers. If you are =
=3D going to, then from what I have heard, use the latest versions. I =
=3D believe EPO 3.0 is still in beta, and the latest version of =
NetShield is =3D also in beta (which is supposed to be certified to work =
with Terminal =3D Server/MetaFrame).
I have always recommended either Trend Micro or Symantec. McAfee (or =
=3D
Mcrappy) slows down your servers on average of 15-35%, from what I have =
=3D seen and tested.

Has anyone had any expereince with McAffe EPO Agent v2.5? It was loaded =
=3D to our NT4 Citrix servers, and has broken load balancing on some of =
=3D them. In a farm of 8 servers, 3 will not take any load balanced =3D =
connections. Once someone connects directly to one of the affected =3D =
servers, LB starts working. Tracing on the ICABrowser service shows the =
=3D LB level set at 9999 (no license
installed) until some connects directly.
We have moved the Citrix XML service to port 81, since EPO uses 80 and =
=3D 8081, to no avail. The problems arose once EPO was installed, and =
not =3D prior.
Any ideas?
