We were doing some testing, and were unable toget license server to issue licenses unless we also installed Terminal Server. The citrix server would report unable to issue license. A: Yes. In fact, many people do this in smaller environments, especially if the domain is Windows 2000-based and they don't want to upgrade any other servers to Windows 2003. -----Original Message----- From: Ryan Lambert [mailto:rlambert@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, July 29, 2004 2:01 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Liceense server David, I think you might have misread, perhaps? I was not aware this was possible, as a 2k Server does not have the option to add 2k3 TSCALs. Quoting from his site: http://www.brianmadden.com/content/content.asp?id=154 <http://www.brianmadden.com/content/content.asp?id=154> "In Windows 2003 Terminal Server environments, the TS licensing service must be installed on a Windows 2003 server. That server can be any server in your environment, and it doesn't have to be a server that's running Terminal Server. Most companies install the TS licensing service on a standard Windows 2003 file and print server." -----Original Message----- From: Turman, David C. Any one know how to do this?
