We were doing some testing, and were unable toget license server to issue
licenses unless we also installed Terminal Server. The citrix server would
report unable to issue license.

Win2K3 active directory, Win2K citrix server, Win2K3 client.

Q: Can I install the Windows 2003 Terminal Server licensing service on a
Terminal Server?
A: Yes. In fact, many people do this in smaller environments, especially if
the domain is Windows 2000-based and they don't want to upgrade any other
servers to Windows 2003.

David,

I think you might have misread, perhaps? I was not aware this was possible,
as a 2k Server does not have the option to add 2k3 TSCALs.

Quoting from his site:

http://www.brianmadden.com/content/content.asp?id=154
<http://www.brianmadden.com/content/content.asp?id=154>

"In Windows 2003 Terminal Server environments, the TS licensing service must
be installed on a Windows 2003 server. That server can be any server in your
environment, and it doesn't have to be a server that's running Terminal
Server. Most companies install the TS licensing service on a standard
Windows 2003 file and print server."

I saw on Brian Madden's site that it is possible to load a Terminal
Server 2003 licensing service

onto a Windows 2000 server. Any one know how to do this?
