Thank you, Michael. I'm not sure the article applies to me, but I will try it. I forgot to mention my server configuration: Windows 2000 Server Standard with SP4 and post SP4 patches Citrix Metaframe 1.8 with SP3 (I believe - I will double check as soon as I can VPN back in) Client configuration: Windows XP Professional Kind regards, --Roger _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Leone, Michael Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2004 9:57 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: HP Photosmart 7550 with Citrix Metaframe 1.8 issue I just posted a similar problem, about the HP DeskJet 450, using Win2003 terminal Services. No Citrix. No response from the list as yet. HP Tech Support sent this, but I haven't had time to try it: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=833746 -- ------------------------------------------------------------ Michael Leone, Systems Administrator Philadelphia Contributionship 210 S. 4th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 <mailto:mleone@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> V: 215-627-1752 x1282 F: 215-627-5354 -----Original Message----- From: roger [mailto:rlbeard@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2004 12:31 PM To: Thin@Freelists. Org Subject: [THIN] HP Photosmart 7550 with Citrix Metaframe 1.8 issue I'm having a problem getting an HP Photosmart 7550 USB printer to work with my Citrix Metaframe 1.8 server. It won't even print a test page. I had it working once (after I loaded the print drivers on the Citrix server and configured the printer .inf file) when I first hooked it up (it printed a test page from within Citrix) but since then I've not been able to get it to work. The client machine is a high end laptop (our plant manager's) and he did plug the printer in to a different USB port (I've since moved it back to the one I had it in but to no avail). What it does it say it's connected (if you look under the Citrix client printer configuration utility) and you can disconnect it and reconnect it IF there are no print jobs in queue. However, once a print job goes in the queue it just sits there with a 'printing' status. I have to restart the print spooler to get the print job to clear, as it won't cancel gracefully. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, --Roger
