Aren't we in danger of giving too much credibility to the marketing of all this?

I mean truly, apart from the whole "reinventing the concept" thingmy, as always
it comes down to this - there's nothing new under the sun, here.

Marketeers will change names of things, and re-market them as if they're a
whole new revolution. But it won't be that long until the name changes again.

The reality is that surely people don't suddenly decide to buy a product based
on the fact it's got a new name. They may become aware, or more aware of a line
of products, due to the upsurge in hype and advertising that gets caught up in
a name change, though.

I'm wondering if I'm alone in saying "Who cares?" what they call it?
Fundamentally, IT people tend to know and lump it all within the moniker of
"Citrix" so what does it really matter, 'cept to people in marketing, and
people who are easily led?
